I am Siddharth (Sid) Prakash Rao, a doctoral candidate under Prof. Tuomas Aura in the Secure Systems research group of Aalto University, Finland. I mainly work on the security and privacy issues of communication protocols and network systems.

From December 2014 - May 2016, I did some reseach on security issues related to signalling prootocols (SS7 and Diameter) of mobile telecommunication systems. If you are from press/media and want to talk to me about this specific topic, may be you want to read this FAQ write-up first. I was a Ford-Mozilla Open Web Fellow (2016-17) at European Digital Rights (EDRi), Brussels. This excellent fellowship gave me an opportunity work at the intersection of technology, public policies, law and human rights.
